A thousand miles seems pretty far, but they’ve got planes and trains and cars; I’d walk to you if I had no other way.

Lovely day

Dope clothes that only fit tiny framed men such as myself and a weird pregnant man mannequin. This photo weirdly captures the essence of Tokyo.

“Following 2009’s “The Ear,” Yi Zhou has again featured Pharrell Williams in one of her surrealist videos. As previewed here, 3D modelling software provides the technology required to create the opening elements of the video entitled “The Greatness.” First shown at Zhou’s “I AM YOUR SIMULARCRUM” exhibition, the visual work of art runs for approximately five and half minutes and is equally thought provoking and chilling. Perfectly complemented with music by Ennio Morricone, the video journeys through a series of dimensions and alternate worlds, using similar aesthetics and themes first explored in “The Ear.” Enjoy!”
Big fan of Pharrell. I mean, look at his awesome-in-all-ways HOME! How can you not be happy there?

I absolutely LOVE this slideshow. Understanding the way the brain works and the microscopic mechanisms that go on in our whole body as a function of the nervous system A DAY is ridiculous. So it helps that you can use technology to stain and view these structures with an aesthetic feel. Tell me you’re not intrigued?! :)

I literally spent the entire quarter (5+hours/day) at Barnes and Noble, Panera Bread, La Scala Cafe or Borders studying for the GRE, writing my personal statement and finishing applications. I was there so much that even after the quarter ended and apps were in, I felt like I STILL needed to go there. You know it’s a problem when you know who the “Regulars” are at barnes and noble, you reduce the name to “b&n,” you start craving the spinach and artichoke quiche they sell and you contemplate going into the bookstore to read on your free days.. Yeah, felt that way a bit…
Anyway, the relevant part comes in as I felt like I put about.. oh say 60% effort into academia this quarter. Totaling 6 classes lab inclusive, 15 units.. I was literally CONFUSED when I got a “4.0.” I looked at the screen searching for my GPA, assuming 4.0 was just telling me how many classes I took. Nope, that was my GPA. First in my college career. And it was while I was doing all the above stated.. WHAT?!
I might as well have drawn a whale. But cool nonetheless. I also woke up one day this weekend thinking about pyruvic acid as a biproduct of anaerobic glycolysis that can then reduce into lactic acid to be reconverted into ATP and reused for energy.. so maybe I did spend more time studying than I thought.
